Absolutely, being okay with yourself is one of the cornerstones of happiness.

I think I simply didn’t stress that very much because I was making a different point in this article. Or something, I wrote this over two years ago, I can’t remember exactly what I was thinking at the time

this such a great article its very refreshing i would like to try that some time. i am female 18 and after years of always trying to fit in i finally realized i am still me. i agree with you when you say women want to always fit in cuz all the women i no are like that and the men i no are freedom seekers. but for me i always tried to fit in because i was told i had to and i think thats whats wrong with most women is they are hardwired to believe women should act modest and whatever. i love freedom personally but ive been made to believe its bad so i always try to control myself. your article lacked one thing and that is too be ok with your self regardless of everything but you repeat you dont care what people think and in that way showing yourself that what people think is bad. instead to be ok with yourself in all the liberating things you do is so much more better. kudos to you for finding happiness and may everybody learn to be totally ok with everybody else and themselves as well.

Yea. When we’re teenagers we’re in such a hurry to be grown up and not be perceived as kids… and we end up losing a lot of the good stuff kids do. Like not taking yourself too seriously and doing things just for fun
