I recently had two guest posts published at two of my favorite blogs.
The first was published on The Discomfort Zone. I really recommend you check out the rest of the blog after you read my guest post, because Tim Brownson has a very unique writing style. You’ll understand when you see it. Now read my guest post on The Discomfort Zone. (The post has a boring title, but interesting content, if I may say so myself
)
The second post is called The Plague of Happiness Ever After, and it’s on The Positivity Blog. That’s a great blog to read for positive uplifting thoughts. Oh, and trust me, you’ll love this guest post. It’s even got a dragon and everything
…
And now for something completely unrelated.
I recently came across a cool blog called Happy Lotus, and I found a really nifty piece of advice there. Apparently drawing a positive uplifting doodle on a piece of paper, like a smiley face or a rose, will immediately improve your mood.
The moment I read that, I had to try it. And since I always keep around a pen and some paper, I just had to reach for my pen and start doodling. And all I can say, after drawing a happy smiley face and a happy penguin, I was openly grinning
It definitely works! Some people even report that you simply can’t feel unhappy while drawing positive doodles, just like you can’t sneeze with your eyes open. I’m going to use it from now on to make boring lectures more fun
. You can read the original post where I heard the advice, and then browse around the blog. You’ll enjoy it.
And that’s all for today! I’ll be back with you on Wednesday.

That smiley thing really works
I did it when it was Winter and I drove home by train depressed every day, because it was alldready dark. Being childish by drawing things on the water-filmed windows helped
Btw: “The first time I got an e-mail from Vlad Dolezal I immediately wanted to reply by starting Dear Mr. Impaler.” *lol* when I first read your name I also instantly thought of Vlad the Impaler.
@Mike:
It’s wicked that it works, isn’t it?
Speaking of train rides, you just reminded me. Every time I find myself near a steamed-up window, I draw Tux the penguin on it
And as for impaling… I’m writing this blog to make you all trust in me, then I’m going to hold a huge free seminar, and when you arrive, I’m going to impale you all and drink your blood from a human skull
Muhahahahaaa…
Loved the links! Thanks!
Positively Present’s last blog post..see the world through enchanted eyes
@PP:
You’re welcome!
And it’s really hard to be mad when you’re grinning ear to ear
(that’s me grinning ear to ear)
