On Taking Time Off (I’m Back!)

by Vlad Dolezal on August 24, 2010

Hey everyone!

Just a quick post today. If you’re busy with important things to do, feel free to skip this post. There isn’t any profound advice inside. I’ll be back this Friday with a usual post crammed with personal development goodness ;)

Or keep reading, to find out why I’ve dropped off the face of the blogosphere for three weeks, and about some kickass posts I’ve got coming up for you :)

On taking time off (or “Do what’s important, not what’s urgent”)

As you might know, I make a big point of doing what’s important, rather than just urgent.

So before the summer, I spent a bit of time figuring out what my long-term goals were. And I realized that over the summer, my most important goal was to have fun and enjoy my holidays. All my blog-related and life-coaching-related goals were secondary.

While usually maintaining Fun Life Development is very “important” to me, over the summer, maintaining an arbitrary blogging schedule was merely “urgent”. Which is why I actually stopped posting at all for the last three weeks. I didn’t feel like I could give you the time and attention you deserve.

Well, I’m back now! My holidays are over and I’m ready to roll out a whole new load of personal development goodness! :D

What I’ve got coming up for you

Firstly, I’ve just started a new personal development experiment yesterday. And if it works out, it will be absolutely insane… about on par with Uberman’s Sleep Schedule. But I’ll keep the details secret for now ;)

Next, do you remember my ultimate guide for changing your limiting beliefs? (If you haven’t read it, click that link right now! You’ll thank yourself later.)

Well, I’ve got a post coming up for you that will help you identify a very tricky class of limiting beliefs – your self-image. Because often the hardest part isn’t displacing a limiting beliefs… but noticing it’s there in the first place!

I’m also preparing a series of posts where I will share one of the most effective models I use in life coaching. A model that will help you take your dreams, and turn them into a specific plan of action to get you from where you are to where you want to be, and then start taking action on it immediately!

Yes, it works. It works insanely well. And it will be all yours for free, here on Fun Life Development! :D

Aside from that, I’ve been busy with behind-the-scenes stuff. Fun Life Development now finally has a working archive and a search bar!

I’ve also been cleaning up and re-writing parts of the anti-procrastination newsletter (and using it during my first forays into using AdWords, but more on that another time). If you’re struggling with procrastination, check it out! – How to Stop Procrastinating.

And that’s all. See you on Friday!
